Join Expedition Oriskany 2012

The USS Oriskany is an Essex-class aircraft carrier that was sunk by the U.S. Navy as part of an artificial reef program on May 17, 2006.  She now lies upright in the waters off of Pensacola, Florida.  The pilot/command island is reached at approximately 80', while the flight deck lies at approximately 140'.

Expedition Oriskany 2012 is an opportunity to explore this historic vessel first-hand.  Experienced wreck divers will receive specific dive training and guidance information to get the most out of the expedition.  Novice divers, or divers who are not yet certified, will be provided with all training necessary to allow them to plan and execute a safe exploration of the Oriskany.
